Oil Re-Refining Unittechnology is made up of a number of small individual batches of used oils collected at garages, maintenance shops, industries etc.
Usual contaminants are free and emulsified water, light hydrocarbons, metals (from engine wear, corrosion, additives),
halogenated compounds (from solvents), glycols (from anti-freezing compounds), carbon, unsaturated hydrocarbons, polymers, asphaltenes.
Re-refining of lube oil is an attractive recycling method in respect of conservation of resources and environment protection. Energy consumption of re-refining process is considerably lower than for virgin lube oil production.
In our re-refining process, all the contaminants of the used lube oil are removed and the base lube oil is recovered. It offers high yield operation, high-quality products, low energy consumption and absence of noxious wastes. The process consists of the following steps in brief
pretreatment and dewatering, removal of diesel and other light oils by fractionation, removal of asphaltenes by thin film evaporation, solvent extraction or hydrotreating, final fractionation for different cuts of base lube oil.
